In the beginning of the day we were disapointed by the fact that our friend and driver Edwin Kragten wasn't able to start the race. That night some strange noises were heard from the Hotel room of our stardrivers, no problem at all. However the next morning we heard E. Krachten was unable to drive due to exhaust problems. So position no. 9 was empty on the starting grid. Now back to the race. The race opened with a very good Start of S. v. Marrewij who started from 4th position. He was able to drive to the 2nd position right in the beginning, hitting T.v.Onselen (who was starting from pole)a little as he went. Van Onselen went off big time, losing one wheel and damaging the right front heavily (picture), we still pleed that it was his fault however. The race continued anyway and was quite exciting really, a really nice battle for 1st position occured between our own S.v.Marrewij and M.Hoque. Though, in the last corner V.Marrewij took over 1st place, overtaking M.Hoque on the inner turn, grabbing a nice set of victory bonus points.
That concludes the race and the first victory for one of our handsome cars, the purple one in this case.
